Train Neuro is built on our personal experiences and professional knowledge. For me (Karl), it started in a childhood marked by stress. I grew up watching my mother battle cancer and dealing with my father’s unpredictable behavior, which was later diagnosed as dementia. These challenges raised questions about how the mind, body, and behavior are connected, and led me to seek answers that would later shape my work.
Movement became my way to cope.
From climbing trees as a child to practicing parkour, dance, and acrobatics, I found clarity through physical activity. But after a severe concussion in adulthood, I had to face my own physical and mental limitations. The recovery was slow and challenging, but it gave me a deeper understanding of resilience and the mind-body connection, which now informs my approach in helping others.
Sofia’s story is marked by her deep understanding of trauma and its impact. Growing up with an emotionally unstable mother, she faced significant challenges. Later, she was diagnosed with PTSD, which became a turning point in her life. Her work as a pedagogue and therapist, particularly in group homes and special institutions for adults with neurodivergence, has been shaped by her commitment to supporting those facing complex life situations.
Together, we created Train Neuro.
Our process, shaped by personal challenges and a relentless pursuit of answers, has led us to this point. Train Neuro is not just a business—it’s about breaking cycles, overcoming limitations, and creating real change. We’ve learned from the struggles of our parents, and through our work, we’re committed to a future built on empathy, where people are supported to function and grow together. This isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about being satisfied with where we are in the process, finding ways to move forward, and supporting each other through it. Empathy is at the core of everything we do—we understand the challenges people face, and we provide practical solutions to help them navigate their own process.
